Spanish Mackerel & Weakfish Bonanza: Holmes Beach Inshore Action fishing report coverpicture

July 1, 2025

Reel in Monsters: Epic Mackerel and Weakfish Battle Awaits!

Hot bite and happy crew! Summer fishing in Holmes Beach, FL brought us some great action on the water. I took Trent and their crew out for a morning of inshore fishing with Flight Risk Charters. We launched from 6398 Marina Way under partly cloudy skies, with a chance of storms later in the day. The conditions were perfect for targeting some of Anna Maria Island's prized gamefish. Once the stage was set, we got to work with a mix of surf fishing and live bait tactics. I showed the crew how to use cast nets to gather fresh bait, which really upped our game. The Spanish Mackerel were on fire, and we managed to land a monster 100-incher that put up one heck of a fight. Not to be outdone, the Spotted Weakfish were also biting well. We hooked into an 83-inch beauty that gave us a real run for our money. The combination of techniques we used really paid off, letting us target different species and keep the action going throughout the trip. As we wrapped up our 4-hour adventure, I couldn't help but feel proud of what we'd accomplished. The crew had picked up the techniques quickly, and it showed in our results. We finished strong with some great catches and plenty of smiles all around. It's days like this that remind me why I love guiding on these waters so much. Reel in the Catch of a Lifetime on Anna Maria Island's Sparkling Waters

What a great day on the water we had with Chris Poole and the crew on our Anna Maria Island Fishing Charters | Private 4 Hour Inshore Fishing adventure! April is the perfect time to target inshore species like Spotted Seatrout around Bradenton, Manatee County, as the warming waters have the fish feeding aggressively. We met up at the 6398 Marina Way launch at 9:00 AM under partly cloudy skies, ready to chase some quality inshore action. As soon as we got the lines in, the fish started cooperating. We mixed it up, working a variety of techniques like jigging, baitcasting, heavy tackle, and light tackle to cover different depths and presentations. It didn't take long before one of the rods doubled over - Chris was into a nice Spotted Seatrout! He put up a great fight, making some strong runs before we were able to get it in the boat. The bite stayed steady after that, with everyone in the group getting in on the action. The variety of techniques and lures we used really paid off, as we were able to put a nice mix of fish in the cooler. In addition to the Spotted Seatrout, we also caught a few other species that made for an exciting and diverse trip. Even when the bite slowed down a bit, the great company, beautiful scenery, and comfortable conditions kept us all thoroughly entertained. It was just one of those perfect days on the water where everything seemed to come together. If you're looking to experience some of the best inshore fishing Bradenton and Anna Maria Island have to offer, I can't recommend our Anna Maria Island Fishing Charters | Private 4 Hour Inshore Fishing trip enough. Hooked on Inshore Angling: A Bradenton Fishing Adventure fishing report coverpicture

Catch the Thrill of Inshore Angling in Bradenton's Serene Waterways

Heading out on the water for an exciting inshore fishing adventure in Bradenton, Manatee County was the perfect way to spend the day. The clear conditions throughout the day with a bit of late afternoon rain made for great fishing weather as we embarked on our private 4-hour inshore fishing charter with Flight Risk Charters. As we arrived at the 6398 Marina Way meeting spot, I could already feel the anticipation building. September is a fantastic time for inshore fishing around these parts, with the Red Drum, Spotted Seatrout, and Common Snook all actively feeding in the warming waters. We wasted no time getting our lines in the water and covering some promising shoreline structure and grass flats. The action was steady from the start, with the Red Drum and Spotted Seatrout eagerly hitting our live bait presentations. Christina Earick was into fish right away, demonstrating impressive angling skills as she fought and landed several quality specimens. The Common Snook proved to be a bit more elusive, but we did manage to hook into a few of those hard-fighting, acrobatic inshore gamefish as well. It was nonstop fun, with bent rods and plenty of high-fives all around. As the afternoon rain started to roll in, we decided to call it a day, but not before reflecting on what a great time we had. Catching a nice mix of inshore species, enjoying the beautiful Bradenton scenery, and simply having a blast out on the water—that's what these private charters are all about. If you're looking to experience some world-class inshore fishing in the Bradenton area, be sure to book your Anna Maria Island Fishing Charters | Private 4 Hour Inshore Fishing trip with Flight Risk Charters. With my expert guidance and your fishing skills, we'll make sure you leave with lifelong memories and a cooler full of delicious inshore catches.
